LesBeauxChats Cattery

General information and contact details

Please be aware of fraudulent websites for rare breed kittens - check for registered breeders on the three official SA feline organisation's websites - CASA, SACC and CFSA. Rare breed kittens are generally rarely available from reputable breeders and usually involve lengthy waiting times: we pace litters, rest mummies well in between litters and do not breed on demand. Fraudsters usually promise to 'send' kittens from remote places with added costs of crates and transport and no home visits are applicable. Kittens are usually immediately "available" and of several rare breeds. They use stolen pictures and prices are generally to good to be true.

We are a hobby cattery in Durbanville, Cape Town, South Africa. We do not send our kittens to other provinces and countries. We from time to time breed British Shorthair and Munchkins, very rarely Siamese.

This is an informal, non-commercial website, merely for information purposes. Our photographs are amateur, cell phone pictures and no attempt at a professional presentation.

We promote Early Neutering & Spaying.

Our kittens are vet checked twice, vaccinated with initial and booster vaccine at 8-9 and 12-13 weeks. They are also vaccinated against Feline Leukemia and Rabies. They receive standard de-worming & de-fleaing and are micro-chipped with GetMeKnown pet identification system before release.

We prefer to place kittens in mostly indoor and cat escape proof/ cat outdoor safe outdoor environments for their own protection.

We do not keep usual waiting lists as most people are not willing to wait - please ask to receive information about our unique waiting process by email.

When we rarely have, they are available to selected kitten safe and - friendly homes, on completion of a questionnaire with 35 questions (available on request via email.) We welcome visits from 8-9 weeks of age after first vet check and vaccinations etc and after receiving and approval of completed questionnaire.

More info, please refer to the top of our "Kittens Available" Page.
